There are numerous club shoots arranged throughout the year. Some of them are purely internal to the club whereas others afford us the opportunity to take part in Surrey, SCAS and National competitions.
This is a postal league running from October to March. All SCAS counties are invited to take part.
Rivernook archers submit their highest Portsmouth score, shot between the 1st and 21st of the month, to the Club Records Officer who then submits them to Surrey.
Surrey then submit the best scores from across the county as the Surrey team entry. All counties submitting scores are then ranked in team order for each bow style.
This is a country wide competition. Individual archers submit their best Portsmouth score that they’ve shot in January to the Records Officer who then sends them to AGB. Each bow style is represented and within each there are subcategories for gender and level of experience.
AGB November Challenge
This is a country wide competition for juniors. Individual archers submit their best ‘3 dozen arrows at 20 yards’ score that they’ve shot in November to the Records Officer who then sends them to AGB. Each bow style is represented and within each there are subcategories for gender and age.
Rivernook Indoor League
The club shoots at Quicks throughout the indoor season. We try to shoot a variety of rounds and cater for all abilities. You may use the session to practice or shoot a round. An indoor league is run based on handicap adjusted scores from the rounds shot. At the end of the season a Rivernook indoor champion is crowned.
